Frequently asked
What is Gauntlet Nine?
An independent competitive circuit for Ironhalt. Each season runs an open ladder, and the eight highest placed duos at the close are invited to Championship Night. Season 3 is the current season and its Championship Night runs across two evenings at The Brass Room.
What is Ironhalt?
Ironhalt is the original two on two tag fighter the circuit is built around. Each side fields two players who share a single life bar and tag in and out mid combo, so a set is as much about when you swap as about the exchange itself. Rosters name a Point, who opens a game, and an Anchor, who closes it.
How much does it cost to watch?
Nothing. Every set is called live from the Gauntlet Desk and replays are posted after each night. There is no ticket, no subscription and no paid tier, and there is nothing at all for sale on this website.
How did the eight duos qualify?
On ladder points alone. Season 3 ran an open ladder and the eight highest placed duos at the close received invitations. There is no application, no selection committee and no entry fee. A duo that stopped competing before the ladder closed forfeits its standing.
What does double elimination mean?
Every duo starts in the upper bracket. Lose once and you drop into the lower bracket and keep playing; lose a second time and you are out. It means one bad set does not end a season, and it is why the Grand Final can feature a duo that lost earlier in the night.
How big is the prize pool, and is there a buy-in?
The Season 3 pool is 200,000, split by final placement: 95,000 to the champion, 48,000 to the runner up, 20,000 to each duo finishing third or fourth and 4,250 to each duo finishing fifth through eighth. There is no buy-in. It is a prize for placing in a competition of skill, not a wager, and nothing is staked by the duos or by anyone watching.
Is there an age requirement to follow the circuit?
No. This is an information site about a competitive gaming tournament. There is nothing to purchase, nothing to wager and no account to open, so it is open to anyone who wants to read the card or watch a set.
Where is Championship Night held?
At The Brass Room in Europe, across two evenings on September 5 and 6, 2026. The room seats a small studio audience made up of the competing duos' travelling parties; general admission is not sold.
Are the game, duos and players real?
They are original works of the Gauntlet Nine team. Ironhalt, the circuit, the eight duos and every player handle shown are our own creations, and the site is not affiliated with any real game publisher or esports organization. Nothing here uses another company's game, logos or artwork.
